ELIZABETH BRAVERMAN

Liz trains riders and horses in the discipline of dressage.

Her qualifications include 23 years of riding experience and 21 years of competition.
Dressage has always been her favored riding discipline; however Liz has experience competing
in horse trials. She has competed successfully from the levels of elementary to preliminary.
In dressage, she has competed through the Prix St. George championships and schooled the
Grand Prix movements.
At age twenty-two, she competed her thoroughbred, Merci at the Prix St. George Region 8
Championships and finished sixth overall. Merci also received an award for the highest scoring
thoroughbred at the FEI level in the 2004 NEDA fall dressage show. Liz purchased Merci when
he was five as an ex-racehorse and they have competed in horse trials starting at novice through
preliminary.
Liz has ridden a broad spectrum of horses, beginning with newly backed horses – as well as
advanced event horses with Mark Weissbecker, an international four-star event rider, and
Grand Prix dressage horses with David Collins, a Grand Prix dressage rider. She also studied
extensively with Kim Walnes, who spent eight years on the United States Equestrian Team.
During her years at York College in Pennsylvania, she had the opportunity to study with eventer,
Jim Koford and three-time Olympian, Jessica Ransehousen. In addition, she has ridden in
clinics with Olympian, Lendon Grey and the FEI judge, Dr. Volker Moritz.

I have worked with Liz for over a year now and for the first time in my life I feel connected with my instructor and great about the way she approaches training. She is patient with both horse and rider and has a very pleasant, approachable way about her!  I always appreciate Liz's motivation and encouragement in my riding. Liz has a way with people, both child and adult alike and is a real gem. I look forward to becoming a better rider with her positive reinforcement and constant assistance. I am very lucky to have her as my trainer and as an employee at my facility.
